Due to intricate nature of the extension, the costs are higher for a double storey extension but will also add significant value to your home. They can only be done in detached or semi-detached houses with a side plot or garden.  Some possibilities you can use the extension are;

  • New kitchen and utility area

L Extension

Can add substantial value to your home. This is a side extension with a rear extension combined creating an L shape extension. This will have the side wall relatively close to the neighboring building property. Some possibilities you can use the extension are;

  • Open plan and illuminated spacious area
  • Increasing kitchen, dining or living areas.
  • New bedroom/ guest-room.

Is an extension over the top of an existing structure i.e. Garage/ dining room/ kitchen. Many properties in the UK (detached and semi-detached) have this unique opportunity to create additional bedroom(s) with en-suite(s).

But further investigation will be needed to make sure the original structure will be able to support the extension or if supporting work will be required first

Many types of loft conversions are undertaken but the 2 most common are Full width Dormer or Mansard. These are ideal for creating an extra bedroom with en-Suite or 2 Bedrooms in the current premises instead of moving house or if you have limited space i.e. in a terraced house.

What to Expect

  1. Initial Consultation – We will come to your home or property of interest. Discuss requirements with preliminary Sketches. Discussion on Charges and timelines.
  2. Survey and Design – Measure the premises, do some designs based on previous discussions. Continue design process until a final design is agreed with building layout.
  3. Planning Permission – Appropriate design is submitted to planning Authority through the planning portal
  4. Building Regulation Approval – Once planning approval is obtained, appropriate applications ad drawings to your local authority to obtain necessary building regs to commence.
  5. Detailed Working Drawings – If required we will produce detailed working drawing for the project with structural drawings.
